Tiered/Reduced Registration fees for Fellows

The IAFL is committed to expanding its reach in jurisdictions that are currently under and un-represented within its Fellowship and to making meetings more accessible to all. With these aims in mind, the IAFL is pleased to offer reduced registration fees to attendees from jurisdictions that qualify for IAFL Tiered Dues. The discount only applies to those registering at the early bird rate which is available up to 8 April 2026. After this date, the regular fee will apply.

Please ensure that you register in the correct registration category. If not, we will email you to pay any additional fees due. If the additional payment is not received within one week of contact, your registration will be cancelled. Any person with unpaid fees from a previous meeting will not be permitted to register for another meeting.

Note a First Timer is a lawyer who is attending their first meeting as a Fellow of the IAFL i.e. you have not attended a meeting since you were admitted to the Academy.

Please do not tick an accompanying guest fee until you have first fully completed your own registration as the “group contact”

Registration Cancellation
Registration cancellations received in writing to iafl@judylaneics.com will be accepted until 8 April 2026 and fees refunded, less a USD 100.00 administrative fee per person. This includes social events and tours fees, but only if the Academy is not responsible for any charges or fees due to the cancellation.
Registration fees for cancellations received after 8 April 2026 will not be refunded. If the IAFL is able to re-sell any cancelled social function tickets or tours to another delegate, these fees may be refunded but only after the Meeting has taken place. Please email iafl@judylaneics.com. No refunds will be made for non-attendance at the Meeting.
Note that registrations are unique to the individual named on the registration form and are not interchangeable or transferable, either in part or whole to another person.
If in the unlikely event the Meeting is cancelled, any travel and accommodation costs will not be refunded.

Emergency contact information will not be shared with any third parties and will only be used for emergency situations. (Possible emergency contact is a family member or friend.)

IAFL will offer an Event App for delegates to interact and access information during the meeting.  You can consent to have the following personal information visible on the App attendee list to enhance your networking:
First name, last name, practice and location.
If you choose not to consent, you will still be included on the list but only your first name and the first letter of your last name will be visible to other attendees which may impact your networking opportunities.

The IAFL has reserved a limited number of rooms for the nights of 18 – 23 May 2026 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. If you plan to arrive earlier or leave later, please book the dates that are available and put a note in the “Special Requests” box for the missing nights you require or contact IAFL@judylaneics.com.

Room Rates & Reservations

The below rates apply, subject to availability, to reservations made via JLICS(the official accommodation agent) by 16 April 2026. A valid credit card will be required to confirm your reservation and the card must not expire prior to 31 October 2026. The hotel will charge for your full stay upon arrival. Please do not contact the hotel direct to make your reservation.

Rates quoted are per room per night in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) including breakfast and wi-fi, excluding 8% service charge and MYR10 per room per night tourism tax:

If you will arrive earlier and would like to guarantee access to your room on arrival, please select to arrive on the previous day and indicate your approximate time of arrival on the following day in the Special Requests field on the booking form.

For a later check-out time, the hotels will either charge a half-day or full-day rate. Please make enquiries when you arrive at the hotel. Once you have input your dates below, click “Search” to select a room. If the hotel shows as full for your required dates, please contact us and we will request additional rooms, subject to availability: IAFL@judylaneics.com.

You may cancel or amend your booking by emailing IAFL@judylaneics.com. Our policy is to respond, confirming receipt of your cancellation/amendment, within 48 hours.  If not received, please telephone Michele Williams +44 1327 858216 (UK office hours).

Penalties (for cancellation/reduction in room nights)
Up until 16 April 2026: No penalty
From 17 April 2026: Full-stay penalty

The full-stay penalty will also apply to no-shows (non-arrival on the day of your booking).
Where penalties are due, the hotel will charge the credit card you have provided as a guarantee with this booking form.
